EVENT 1 - CHIP OFF THE OL BLOCK

Time: 11 Minutes | Score: Max Meters & Max Reps (Double Scoring Event)

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Athlete 1 will complete as many meters as possible in 5 minutes. While A1 is rowing, A2 will be trying to get as many reps as possible in the chipper. When 5 minutes is up, Athletes will switch blocks and go for another 5 minutes. Athletes will have a 1 minute transition between 5 minute blocks.

RX MOVEMENT STANDARDS

Rower: Athletes can set damper to whatever setting they want.

Thruster: Athletes must squat down past 90* and elbows must lock out overhead.

Box Overs: Athletes can either jump or step over the box. They must also have both feet touch the top of the box for the rep to count.

Bar Burpees: Athletes' chest must touch the ground during the burpee. They will be parallel to the bar and must jump laterally over the bar.

SCALE MOVEMENT STANDARDS

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Athletes will compete in an “I Go You Go” format. A2 will rest while A1 completes the 1st movement.. After A1 finishes, A2 will complete the1st movement, they will follow the same sequence for movement 2. They will go back and forth until both athletes have completed each round 3 times.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Athletes will compete at the same time. They will start out by sprinting a 60yd down and back. They will then pick up a single dumbbell and OH lunge 10 yards to the next cone line. They will immediately drop the dumbbell and sprint a 50 yd down and back, and then will perform another 10 yd OH lunge. They will continue this sequence until they have completed the final 10 yd sprint and lunge.

RX MOVEMENT STANDARDS

Sprint: Athlete's foot or hand must touch or pass the cone line

Lunge: Athletes' knees must come within 3” of the ground. Arm must be overhead the entire time with the elbow locked out.
